Burnsville senior Paul Tierney finished his high school career in style winning two individual titles at the Class AA state swimming championships Saturday night.

Tierney has been the cornerstone of the Blaze swim team the past three years and is very versatile. But on Saturday he showed his raw power and speed to win both the 100 and 200 yard freestyle events.

It was the fitting ending to a long season of training

Tierney was a four year varsity swimmer at Burnsville and he'll take his talents to the University of Minnesota this fall.
